afflicted ... then your light shall rise in the darkness..."

Mission Trip to
Ocean Springs, Mississippi
July 1-July 8
July 1, 2006 thirty seven high school youth and adult advisors will travel to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to help in the rebuilding process after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The mission trip is a combined effort through the Witherspoon Street and Nassau Presbyterian churches. While on the Gulf Coast the participants will work with First Presbyterian Church Ocean Springs volunteer work groups. Work tasks change daily! Log onto the daily logs to see what work we are doing!
The theme for the high school mission trip is, "It is a Big World...Shine Brightly." The theme will explore what is means to be called by God and daily devotions will explore call stories in scripture. The trip has two purposes, the first is to serve the people of south Mississippi in the rebuilding process. The second is to understand the impact of the work we will do, for the people we help and for our own lives.
