Day Four: Tuesday, July 4
"Independance Day"

Happy Independence Day everybody!

Today we worked really hard in the blazing hot sun! The temperature reached approximately 98 degrees with lots of humidity. Today, once again we split up into three groups. One group "the grown up group" (16 years and older) worked on roofing a Habitat for Humanity house. Meanwhile the gals group worked with Ms. Linda, a compassionate old lady who needed some help painting the walls and scrubbing her floors. At the same time, the guys helped, as the boys say the nicest woman on the face of the earth. She needed lattice put on the side of her house, but was more then happy to give the lovely young men all the homemade sweet tea, chili, and fresh watermelon they could eat. After all of the groups escaped the extreme heat and we all showered, we enjoyed a meal that included fried chicken, potato wedges, macaroni salad and more!

After we had our 5 star dinner, we had devotions and discussed our calling from God. We ended the day by taking a walk down to the beach, sticking our feet in the water, and experiencing what I (Scott) would call the most spontaneous and extremely freakishly awesome display of fireworks in the history of fire working. We met up with the Ocean Springs Youth Group and they made us feel right at home and together we celebrated the dreams of our founding fathers (aka the birth of our country!) Then we casually strolled home and are about to retire to our air mattresses for a much needed rest before our 6 o' clock wake up call tomorrow.

Miss you all!

Isaiah's Commission
Isaiah 6: 1-8
1In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3And they were calling to one another:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory."
4At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

5"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

6Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."

8Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
