of faith and explore what it means to be a member of the Presbyterian
Church USA. Mark your calendars now for Confirmation Sunday May 11,
2008.
Middle School Fellowship Join us on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
in the Assembly Room. We begin each night with dinner. After dinner
we play big group games and break into small groups. Once in small
groups we do a variety of activities including highs and lows, group
discussions, games, Bible study, special dinners, crafts, and service
projects. We end each night in the chapel for music and devotion.
Come hang out with youth advisors and other 6th-8th graders! (for more info)
Senior High Fellowship Join us on Sunday nights from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
in Rooms 301-302 for SHF. We start each night with dinner. Fellowship
activities include group discussions, guest speakers, games, field
trips, Bible study, skits, scavenger hunts, special celebrations
and lots of other stuff. Join us for the fun every Sunday night! (for more info)
Retreats We have both Middle School and Senior High School retreats.
Retreats are a great way to really get to know people in fellowship
and to take a break from your regular schedule. Don’t miss
the fun!
MSF Thanksgiving Dinner The
Wednesday a week before Thanksgiving Middle School Fellowship celebrates with
a family feast. With the help of many
dedicated parents we eat turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, and
other delicious things. It has become a tradition and one we really
enjoy!
SHF Progressive Dinner The
progressive dinner is a Christmas tradition for 9th -12th graders!
We travel on this special night to three homes of
youth group members. We start with a house for appetizers. Our second stop
is for
the main meal. Our third and final stop is for dessert and where we open
presents!
Youth Sunday Mark your
calendars now for April 20, 2008! This Sunday is very special in the
life of our congregation. Don’t miss
an opportunity to be a part of this very special service of worship by
assisting in worship,
singing, or preaching.
Senior Farewell (6/1/08) This is a
night when we celebrate our high school graduates! Come see old pictures
and slides, hear funny stories,
and share memories of the senior class. Parents are also welcome
for this special event!
Service Projects Part of being the
church is serving other people in need. We do a variety of service
projects during the year including
the CROP walk, serving at the Crisis Ministry and Trenton Area Soup
Kitchen. In January, the Confirmation Class spends Martin Luther
King Day in Trenton serving and learning at a variety of service organizations.
Mission Trips Mission Trips are in incredible way to encounter God
and to do service. The past few years our mission trips have taken
us to Toronto, Canada, South Carolina and to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to help with hurricane relief. We have
done rural and urban service projects giving us a variety of experience.
Montreat Each summer Montreat, a PCUSA Conference center, has six
youth conferences with over 1000 high school kids at each conference.
The conferences are an amazing place for you to encounter the presence
of God and meet lots of new people. At a Montreat Youth Conference
you will find small groups, worship, recreation, music and many new
friends.
