Well, it's after 2 a.m. Saturday morning and since we have to up early to get on the road home, this will be a short summary.
Friday was our last opportunity to finish our various tasks, so there was a bit of a scramble. Catch Phrase, the team led by Gordon and Cathy, finished around lunchtime, and went over to the Jumanji project to lend a hand. With the combined forces, we were on a role, and stayed late to finish up. The Rook team, finished their tasks as well.
After dinner we had gathering of all the volunteers where we reflected on the weeks work, and the program. The other, and larger church group celebrated their 15th anniversary of ASP projects. This was our first. The gathering was followed by ice cream sundaes, and then we cleaned out the vans and got them ready for the trip home. Afterwards we held an open hymn sing and communion service, officiated by Richard and Gordon.
Since it is the last night, lights out was pushed back an hour to 12, so there were any number of teenagers milling around. Fortunately, I had hallway duty tonight, and I was up anyway, preparing this blog.
If all goes well we will be on the road before 8 a.m. tomorrow, or rather later today. Depending on the number of stops we make, we should be home in about 8 to 10 hours, but we will call the phone chain when we are about a half-hour out.
