Monday was our first real day on the job. We were divided into three teams, each named after a board game. Our team was called Jumanji, and our assignment was to finish a wheelchair ramp. I was so busy measuring, cutting and showing our team how to use a circular saw, that I forgot to take pictures (not like me at all). I promise some pictures for tomorrow.
Below are a number of pictures from the Rook team project. John Parker was one of the adults on the Rook team, and fortunately, he remembered to use his camera. Their team task was to remove a old retaining wall and erect cinder blocks supports to shore up the house.
After dinner, we had a trip to DQ for ice cream and an impromptu sing along in the cafeteria.
P.S. If you're wondering why you kid hasn't phoned home, there is no cellular service here at the High School (which is okay by all the adults).
