Community service trip to Parramos, Guatemala

"If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted ... then your light shall rise in the darkness..."
Isaiah 58:10

Parramos, Guatemala
July 6-July 15

For the sixth time since 2002, members of Nassau Presbyterian Church, the Latin American Task Force of Princeton "LATF" and friends from as far away as Boston and Los Angeles will participate in a community service trip to Parramos, Guatemala, a poor village in the central highlands. This year the group will leave early on Friday, July 6, and is scheduled to return Sunday, July 15. The participants in the community service trip will work at Valley of the Pines school, on various projects suggested by the school's teachers and parents. On past trips work has included teaching English, music and a variety of other classes, operating medical clinics, setting up a computer lab, painting and repairing buildings, and interviewing needy children for tuition scholarships. There will even be time on the weekend for some sightseeing.

Internet availability permitting, we will post updates of our activities with photos to this site as often as possible. Please check back regularly to monitor our progress.
