Sojourners

They meet from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Maclean House, which is just across the university driveway from the church on the Princeton University campus. Come to the library in the front of the house.

Bible Study Opportunities

INTO THE WORD INTO THE WORLD is a nine-month challenging and rewarding weekly Bible study which will meet on Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30AM beginnings on September 15 and ending on May 10. Concentrate on four books: Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts (8 lessons on each book). Appropriate connections will be made to other parts of Scripture both through reading and study assignments and through commentary in the study manual. Participants will see scripture passage in fresh ways, and anticipate that God will speak through them. The class will meet at the home of Keiko Alphs, 40 Foxcroft Drive in Princeton. The participant book is $40.00, available in the church office for preview/purchase. (Scholarships based on need are available.) Experienced members of the group will lead. Register now by calling Lauren Yeh in the church office. For more information contact Joyce MacKichan Walker at the church or joyce@nassauchurch.org.

FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS IN BIBLE STUDY, an eight-session “Invitation to the Old Testament” class will be offered this fall on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00AM and on Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 PM  (September 28, Oct 12 and 26; Nov 9 and 30; Dec 14; Jan 11 and 25). This will be a completely safe place to learn about and begin to explore the Bible for the first time, or for the first time in a long time! In weekly video segments, gain insight from biblical scholars and then take a visual tour of archaeological sites related to and illuminating scripture and events. Expect to gain a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the Old Testament as an integral part of the Christian Bible, and expect to read an average of two chapters of the Bible a day. A small book will guide your reading and reflection ($12.00), and if you do not have one, you will be required to purchase a recommended study Bible, which will be available. Sign up by calling the church office (609-924-0103), or by emailing lauren.yeh@nassauchurch.org.
