Nassau Presbyterian Church welcomes family members of all ages to our
care and worship. We are pleased to provide specialized loving childcare
for our youngest ones, utilizing well-trained professional childcare
providers who are supported by volunteer helpers.
Our primary goal is to make all children feel welcome and at home at
Nassau. We want you as parents to feel secure and confident that your
precious children are safe and happy here. All of our child
care staff have been carefully screened and have completed infant and
child
CPR courses.
THE CRIB ROOM (#105 ON THE FIRST FLOOR)
This is a home for our littlest ones, from birth through twelve months.
Loving care is provided by Camille Harris (Cam) who has been a welcoming
presence here at Nassau since 2001, serving on Sundays and during
the week for activities involving families. An experienced mother
and veteran
childcare provider, Cam will be working in the Crib Room each Sunday. Dorothy Diehl joined our staff last year. She comes to us with twenty years of experience in home child care. She has also served as a substitute at a local nursery school. Dorothy’s experience, commitment to children and gentle and kind demeanor make her presence with our little ones a true gift.
Cribs and baby-swings are available, along
with highchairs for feeding, and an area for diaper changing. Lots
of colorful age-appropriate
toys are used to keep little ones interested and occupied. Rocking
chairs
are available for nursing mothers needing a quiet place to spend
time with babies.
The crib room is most appropriate for little ones with limited mobility.
Once children are actively walking they will find more stimulation
and activity in the Age One Room.
Care is available from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. during the program
year. Care is provided in the crib room from the hours of 9:00 a.m.
- 10:30 a..m. and in room 05 (at the base of the stairs nearest the
playground)
from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
THE AGE ONE ROOM (#206 ON THE SECOND FLOOR)
Donna McCoy joined our staff in the winter of 2006. She brings a wealth of experience in child care and works in a day care center during the week. Jewel Merrill works with Donna in our Age One Room. She has been caring for children for many years. During the week she works in the Princeton Public Schools.
A porta-crib is available for naps, but the lively atmosphere is
perfect for playing with the huge assortment of toys and books,
or enjoying
a snack of juice
and crackers. Rocking chairs and diaper changing facilities are available,
and bottles are lovingly offered.
Care is available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the program
year; in this room from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m when the care givers
move to
room 05 (at
the
base of the stairs nearest the playground) from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
CHILDCARE DURING THE 11:00 SERVICE (SEPTEMBER TO MAY)
Childcare is provided in room #05 (in the basement at the base of the
stairs by the playground). Dorothy diehl and Jewel Merrill work together
to care
for infants and children up to age 5 while parents are in worship. Children age 3 through grade 3 may also participate in Worship Explorers during the 11:00 service.
This room is full of stimulating toys and activity centers for our
two-to-young three-year-olds. During the program year care is available
in this room
from 10:45a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
SUBSTITUTES & SPECIAL EVENTS

we are fortunate to have a wonderful group of care givers who serve
