Dance Workshop-Turning Mourning into Dancing
Saturday, February 11, 20121:00-4:00PM
Participants grades three through adult will have a marvelous opportunity to work with professional dancer and our 2011-2012 Artist in Residence, Meagan Woods. While preparing a piece to be presented at the worship services on February 12, dancers will also explore the many connections between their faith and dance and have an opportunity to contribute their own movement into the group presentation. Nassau at Four
Featuring young, emerging, and community performing artists, this series is free to the public and is followed by a dinner offered for $7.00. Reservations for the dinner are due at the church office the Wednesday preceding each concert. Concerts this season included a full choral vespers service, dance, chamber music, and solo recitals presented by students of Westminster Choir College and Rutgers University.
Westminster Conservatory at Nassau
These recitals are held on the third Thursday of the month, September to May (except December) at 12:15PM in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church. These half-hour lunchtime recitals feature performances by Westminster Conservatory faculty members, are free and open to the public. For further information call 609-921-2663.
