William G. Thompson, 1840-1904

William G. Thompson - Photo needed William G. Thompson served two terms as mayor of Detroit, Michigan, from 1880 to 1883. He was also a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Michigan in 1880.

He also served as Staff Officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He married Adelaide Brush, and had one daugther, Lillie. After Adelaide's death, William Thompson was remarried to Adele Campau of Grosse Point, Michigan

He is interred at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, New Jersey.
