Year End Donations
We must abide by IRS rules regarding the crediting of contributions to the correct year for tax purposes. For a contribution to be posted to 2005, it must be delivered to the church no later than December 31 or postmarked no later than December 31; anything received after that date will be posted to 2006. Regardless of the year for tax purposes, we can match any contribution to your pledge for either year as long as you specify the year. For donations in the form of stock transfers, please call Linda Gilmore in the church office (609-924-0103 x134) to verify routing instructions. Please tell Linda that you are making a transfer so that she can post it properly when it’s received.
Furthermore, Congress has enacted legislation which suspends certain limits on charitable gifts for the remainder of 2005. You may want to consult your tax advisor to see if this law would make extra year-end giving advantageous for you.

In the Wilderness Prepare
The Rev. Dr. David A. Davis' sermon of December 4, 2005, the Second Sunday of Advent on Mark 1:1-9. We open our church year with a gospel, quite unlike the other three "where there’s no story of a birth, no pageant. Jesus didn’t come by way of Bethlehem, or the inn, or the manger. In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus came here in the wilderness, our wilderness."
